Clint Briggs Promoted to Vice President of Finance at Tower Loan

Tower Loan is pleased to announce the promotion of Clint Briggs to Vice President of Finance, recognizing his continued leadership and nearly 14 years of service with the company.

Briggs joined Tower Loan in January 2013 as a Financial Analyst. Before joining the company, he worked for Carr, Riggs & Ingram, where his responsibilities included performing audit and assurance services for companies including Tower Loan. Through that work, he gained early exposure to the company and its financial operations before transitioning into a full-time role with Tower. He was promoted to Controller in 2016 and, in 2021, added the title of Vice President while continuing to serve as Controller.

In his new role, Briggs will take on broader responsibilities related to financial reporting, Tower’s insurance subsidiaries, tax matters, and communication of financial information to shareholders and the executive team. He will focus more closely on the company’s broader financial needs and strategy.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to become more involved in the financial strategy of the company and to help support Tower’s continued growth,” Briggs said.

As Vice President of Finance, Briggs will continue to focus on accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthening financial processes, and supporting the CFO and executive team. He will also work to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies across the accounting department while continuing to support the development of the accounting team.

As part of the leadership transition, Jack McGee, previously Assistant Controller, has been promoted to Controller and will assume the position Briggs previously held.

“Jack brings a great deal of experience to the position,” Briggs said. “He has a strong accounting background, understands our organization, and will look for opportunities to improve processes and create efficiencies as he transitions into the Controller position.”

Briggs is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Mississippi State University. Throughout his career at Tower, he has taken on new responsibilities while expanding his knowledge of accounting, finance, and the consumer finance industry.

For Briggs, one of the most meaningful parts of his career has been growing professionally alongside Tower.

“We have more than doubled in size since I started almost 14 years ago,” Briggs said. “I’m grateful for the trust that has been placed in me, and I’m excited to continue contributing to Tower’s growth in this new role.”

Outside of work, Briggs enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and two children, Ian and Julia, as well as cooking, hunting, and traveling.
