Welcoming Patrick Thornton as Chief Technology Officer

Tower Loan (the Company) is excited to welcome Patrick Thornton as Chief Technology Officer, effective January 6, 2025. In this new position, he will be responsible for improving operational efficiency, strengthening data security, and driving the development and implementation of the Company’s overall technology strategy. His efforts will focus on aligning technology initiatives with business goals, fostering innovation, and ensuring the Company leverages advanced solutions to remain competitive.

“Patrick has already proven himself to be a strong leader and a valuable asset to Tower Loan,” said Darryl Schroeder, Chief Financial Officer (CFO). “His technical expertise and ability to drive results will be key as we continue to grow.”

With over 25 years of experience across diverse industries, Patrick brings expertise in software development, IT infrastructure, and cloud operations. He began his career as a software engineer, building and managing e-commerce solutions for a high-performance auto parts vendor. Following this, Patrick earned a degree in aerospace and computer sciences, which led him to develop advanced software for aircraft systems and flight tracking while also providing IT infrastructure support.

Patrick’s career includes significant achievements in the healthcare and finance sectors. He played a pivotal role in creating one of the first fully web-based Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems, supporting thousands of clinics nationwide. He later led the transformation of EHR systems for post-acute care facilities, migrating from client-server to web-based platforms for use in thousands of skilled nursing facilities. Additionally, Patrick has managed cloud operations for rural hospitals, leveraging platforms like Google and Azure while mentoring teams on cloud development and overseeing critical areas such as DevOps, CloudOps, and SecOps.

In recent years, Patrick has contributed to several key Tower Loan projects, including Online Lending, Credit Application systems, eSignature, Document Upload tools, and regulatory compliance updates. His proven leadership will be invaluable as he drives Tower Loan’s technological growth and strategic initiatives in this new role.
